Carefree Days of Adulthood

Today during Algebra, a student of mine was telling me which boys couldn't play at tonight's basketball game and why they couldn't play. He said "look at everyone we have to think about" and then proceeded to say "and you think you have a lot to worry about."

He's right, I don't have nearly as much to worry about. I'm so lucky to be past those stress-filled days of 8th-grade. I've made it to the carefree days of adulthood!

Ah, yes, those days of childhood...when Mom and Dad put the food on the table, bought the clothes, roof over the head...and all we had to worry about was the basketball game. Ah, to be at that poing again.

My son is 17 this year and a Senior in High School. I keep telling him.....you will NEVER have it as easy as you do now. But as a kid, I guess we all thought we had it hard, going to school...homework etc.

The real world comes along soon enough...and there's no going back to those days when someone else took care of things for you.

Interesting how kids view things sometimes.

PS - Hope they won the game :)
