Apparently I organize my books in a ridiculous manner.My shelves of fiction books are arranged based on number of pages; they are ordered from smallest number of pages to largest number of pages. While explaining this to my husband, sister, and cousins yesterday I saw nothing but baffled faces and heard nothing but doubtful questions. I couldn't convince a single one of them that it was a good system. They seem to think libraries have the right idea with the whole "last names in alphabetical order." I guess you're going to have to be a special person to view my collection.

Mine are organized by color.
Right now, since I don't have as many books as I would LIKE, I have them just thrown on the shelves in three categories: 1)author - but in no particular order, 2)memiors - again, no particular order 3)series - in order.
Mine are organized with a mix of things. Mostly by size, some by color, some by author, and by how many times I've read certain books.
i like the idea of organizing by color! mine are organized with favorites/really interested vs. not very interested; although currently they are piled in boxes upon boxes in the closet, not much organization involved.
ahh, did you say organize? what is organize? Holly, you and i would be like the odd couple if we were by some strange twist of fate thrown together. which would bother you greatly, what with you being a fan of evens.

Good luck on your half-marathon! You're brave... It makes me nervous just doing a 5k! Also, your dog is so cute! Aren't puppies fun? I had a cocker spaniel growing up... she was the nicest dog ever!
Two more things: I loved the cartoons your student drew. I would be sad to see them go as well. And I like your method of organizing books. Never thought of doing it that way! I've got mine arranged by topic and/or how much I like them. Also, I make sure to put the ones that make me look smart in easy view of visitors. Most of those I haven't read. :D
Organized....unfortunately that word is not in my vocabulary!
My books are on my shelves as "next set of books to read" and "books already read".
