Utah Christmas Ornament

In case you didn't realize, it's only four months until Christmas!  I'm getting excited!  Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I see my decorations every time I go downstairs.  Anyhoo, I thought today was the perfect day to show you the Christmas ornament that Mitch and I bought while visiting Utah last week.

It's in the shape of the state and is made from salt crystals from the Great Salt Lake. Pretty cool, huh?

Tired Feet

We've been doing LOTS of walking.  Needless to say, we have tired feet.

Lucky for us the hotel has a nice, cool pool that makes those tired feet so very happy.

Mitch and I left North Dakota this morning and arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah this afternoon!  Mitch has conferences all week and since I've never been to Utah, I thought I would tag along for the trip.  I'm looking forward to seeing some sights and meeting one of my favorite bloggers!

Fourth on the Fourth

Yesterday, Mitch and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe that it's already been four years - time sure is flying!

Firsts on a First

Can you believe it's the first of August already?  This summer is flying by!  Anyhoo, on to my weekend which consisted of a few firsts.
FRIDAY

Some fellow derby gals and I attended a local drag show.  It was the first time I had ever been to one; it was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to going again!

SATURDAY

Rizzo, my in-law's Boxer stayed with us for the first time.  She poses quite nicely for me and has BOUNDLESS energy!

SUNDAY

My sister and I had our first derby photo taken together.  I love being able to share this experience with one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world.
