Work Day Smiles

We all know the general rule is Mondays suck and my day definitely started out trying to follow that rule.  Rather than let my frustrations fester, however, I took a deep breath and reminded myself that there are still things to smile about.  I decided to focus on the positives, like

wearing sandals to work because spring weather has finally arrived,

Google's home page today (40th anniversary of the Rubik's Cube),

my view of the colorful umbrellas on the patio of a local restaurant,

Doritos with my lunch (extra fun because I didn't even realize I had them when I started packing my bag),

and trips to the bank with windows rolled down and my favorite songs filling my ears.

So while the first day of the work week did her best to make me crabby, I'd say she was unsuccessful in her attempts.  Good try, Monday, good try.
